Personal Background

Hello, my name is Alex Conrad and I currently work at the Directorate of Public Works for the US Army at Fort Benning, GA. I am currently in the pursuit of my professional architecture license and taking my exams. I currently have around 350 hours remaining to gain for my experience report as well. I hold a Master of Architecture from Northeastern University and prior to my graduate studies, I was an Architectural Designer & Technician at JSA Design in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I worked primarily on healthcare, hospitals, and senior living projects while at JSA. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Tulane University and due to COVID, I moved from the 5-year BArch to the 4-year BSA degree in order to get the most out of my education and my ability to graduate in 3 years due to my heavy course load and desire to embark on my professional career. In addition to my undergraduate degree, I earned both a Spanish Minor and a Geographic Information Systems Certificate during my time at Tulane. I have a strong background in fine arts, which led me to architecture, and I have thoroughly enjoyed expanding my art and design skills throughout my studio experience at Tulane, Northeastern, and in my professional work.
